Offboarding is the process that leads to the formal separation between an employee and a company through resignation, termination, or retirement. It encompasses all the decisions and processes that take place when an employee leaves.
To ensure a smooth and efficient Offboarding process in Kenjo for your employee, we recommend you to follow the steps below:
Employee Personal Profile
Navigate to the Confidential section of the employee's personal profile and accurately set the termination date. Go to the employee's Profile > Personal > Confidential and enter the Termination date.
Note:Once the terminational date is set right it will directly impact the payroll.
Employee Compensation Tab
In case you haven't yet, proceed to the Employee's Compensation tab and specify the end date for the employee's salary. This ensures that the final payroll is processed correctly. Go to Profile>Compensation>Salary and enter a End date.
Important: take the following actions on the actual termination date to properly conclude the employee's association with the company.
- Disable Attendance Tracking
- Deactivate the Employee
Disable Attendance Tracking
- Employee no longer shows on attendance reports
- We recommend to pull attendance reports prior to doing this
Note: System workflows do not recognise deactivated employees. This means that once an employee is marked as inactive, they will be excluded from automated processes, notifications, and task assignments.
Suggestion: To streamline the offboarding process and ensure that no steps are overlooked, we recommend to create a dedicated workflow for employee offboarding tasks.
Deactivate employee
Deactivating employee in the system is a critical step to signify that your employee is no longer employed. It is important to mention that deactivated employees have no cost in Kenjo.
